Built-in roll storage carries a real invoice line: on our own catalogue it holds VS-29G at $12.20 per unit at the 5,000-piece tier while the cutter-only VS-34G falls to $8.30. It also packs 15 units to a carton instead of 20. A roll storage vacuum sealer is a countertop sealer that keeps the bag film inside its own body and cuts bags to length with an integrated sliding blade. VS-29G runs 65kPa of suction across a 30 cm sealing bar at 120W. This page prices that compartment at landed cost — the tier price plus the cube it eats in a container — rather than re-covering roll specification.

// 02 — Definition
What is a roll storage vacuum sealer?
A roll storage vacuum sealer stores bag film inside the machine body and cuts bags to length with a built-in sliding blade. VS-29G pairs that compartment with a 30 cm sealing bar, 65kPa suction and a 4 L/min pump, so an operator can size a bag, seal one end, fill it and vacuum it without leaving the counter.
The bag-making loop, step by step
The operator pulls film from the internal roll to the length the food needs. The sliding cutter runs across the housing and trims it square. The open end goes on the 30 cm bar for a seal-only cycle, which turns the cut length into a bag. Food goes in, the bag goes back on the bar, and a vacuum-plus-seal cycle finishes it.
Everything in that loop happens on one footprint of 350 x 136 x 70 mm. There is no separate roll holder, no scissors drawer and no bag inventory sitting on the bench. For a retail buyer, that is the whole pitch: one box on the shelf instead of two.
Roll storage versus a bare cutter slot
A bag cutter and roll storage are not the same feature, and catalogues blur them constantly. A cutter is a blade track: it trims film you feed in from outside. Roll storage is a housed compartment that holds the roll itself and feeds it to that blade. A vacuum sealer can carry the blade without the compartment, and most of ours do. VS-29G has both. Our VS-34G has the cutter only, which is exactly why it is a flatter, cheaper machine to pack.
Why the 30 cm bar caps bag width
The sealing bar is the hard limit on bag width. A 30 cm bar welds film up to 30 cm across, so the common 28 cm and 30 cm retail rolls both run on it, and a 35 cm roll does not. Buyers who plan to bundle rolls with the machine should match the roll SKU to the bar before the artwork is printed.
// 03 — Suction
Is 65kPa enough suction for your buyers?
For dry goods, portioned meat, cheese and coffee, 65kPa is enough. A consumer countertop vacuum sealer clusters in the 60–80kPa band, and 65kPa sits mid-band. Dense, wet cuts and long-term freezer programs are where a higher-suction machine earns its price, which is why our range runs up to 75kPa on a separate platform.
What 65kPa and 4 L/min do together
Suction is depth; flow rate is speed. The 65kPa figure describes how far below atmospheric pressure the pump can pull the bag down. The 4 L/min ±15% figure describes how fast it removes that air. A vacuum sealer with deep suction and a slow pump still gets there, it just takes longer per bag, and that matters when the end user is packing thirty portions on a Sunday.
The foods that expose a 65kPa ceiling
Soft bread, ripe fruit and anything with free liquid expose the ceiling first. Liquid boils at low pressure, so a deep pull drags moisture toward the seal line and contaminates the weld. The practical answer on VS-29G is the moist mode, which stops the pull earlier and lengthens the seal dwell.
Moist mode and the wet-food compromise
VS-29G ships with Vac, Seal, Rice, Wet, Dry and Stop modes plus an external vacuum port for canisters and jars. Vacuum packaging changes the atmosphere in the pack, not the temperature it needs. The USDA is direct about this: sealing does not make a perishable shelf-stable, and refrigeration rules still apply (see USDA FSIS on shelf-stable food safety). The reduced-oxygen packaging literature makes the same point for chilled products in more depth (see the Oregon State compendium chapter on vacuum and modified-atmosphere packaging). Keep that framing in your manual copy and your listing claims.
// 04 — Specifications
VS-29G specification sheet
VS-29G is a 120W, 100–240V vacuum sealer in an ABS housing with a detachable base, an LED display and a waterproof touch panel. The table below is the catalogue record for the model, which is the same record we quote from. Approved samples govern anything a buyer intends to print.
VS-29G (UAH29G) spec sheet
Rev. 2026.09
| Spec | This model | Why it matters |
| Suction | 65kPa | Mid-band for countertop sealers; covers dry goods, cheese and portioned meat |

What the 3 mm heating strip governs
The heating strip is the part that actually makes the pack. A 3 mm strip lays a single weld band, which is standard for household film in the 0.09–0.11 mm range. Wider strips and double welds belong on heavier commercial film. If your program bundles a thicker embossed roll, run it on the approved sample before the pack copy is finalised.
One 100–240V SKU across markets
The wide-input supply is a purchasing convenience more than a technical one. A single 100–240V board means one production SKU serves a UK, EU, US and Australian rollout, and the only market-specific parts are the plug set, the manual and the label. That collapses your safety-stock problem from four pools into one.
Materials and the detachable base
The housing is ABS with a detachable base, which is what makes the drip area serviceable after a wet-food cycle. The unit also lists a UV cleaning function and simultaneous multi-bag sealing across the 30 cm bar. For end users packing several small portions at once, that second feature does more for throughput than any suction number.
// 05 — Comparison
How does this vacuum sealer compare with our other 30 cm models?
Against our own catalogue, VS-29G is a roll-storage machine at a roll-storage price. Its 65kPa platform siblings without the compartment land $3.90 to $4.00 lower per unit at 5,000 pieces and pack 20 to a carton. The 75kPa UAHFW4 is a different class of machine entirely, and its price says so.
| Model | Suction | Seal bar | Flow rate | Units / carton | From $/unit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VS-29G (UAH29G) — roll storage | 65kPa | 30 cm | 4 L/min | 15 | $12.20 at 5,000 |
| VS-31G (UAH31G) — roll storage | 65kPa | 30 cm | 4 L/min | 15 | $12.20 at 5,000 |
| VS-34G (UAH34G) — bag cutter only | 65kPa | 30 cm | 4 L/min | 20 | $8.30 at 5,000 |
| VS-56G (UAH56G) — touch screen | 65kPa | 30 cm | 4 L/min | 20 | $8.20 at 5,000 |
| UAHFW4 — roll storage + cutter | 75kPa | 28 cm | 12 L/min | 4 | $26.42 at 1,000 |
Where the cutter-only VS-34G wins

VS-34G runs the identical 65kPa, 30 cm, 4 L/min platform and keeps the blade, but loses the housed roll. That single deletion is worth $3.90 per unit at 5,000 pieces and five extra units per carton. If your buyer sells rolls separately anyway, or ships the machine into a price-led channel, the compartment is paying for a feature the shelf will not reward.
VS-31G: the same platform, a different housing
VS-31G is our other 65kPa roll-storage model. Our catalogue lists it at identical tier prices, identical suction, the same 30 cm bar and the same 15-unit carton at 17.5 kg. Treat the two as two housings on one platform, and pick on the moulding and control layout your artwork suits, not on the datasheet.
When to step up to a 75kPa vacuum sealer
UAHFW4 is the honest comparison for a buyer who thinks 65kPa is not enough. It moves to 75kPa, a 12 L/min pump — three times the flow — an ABS and stainless housing, a drip tray and a one-hand lock hook, on a 28 cm bar. It also packs 4 to a carton and lists at $26.42 with a 1,000-piece minimum. It is a heavier machine for a heavier duty cycle, not a small upgrade.
// 06 — Logistics
What roll storage costs you in a container
The roll compartment makes the vacuum sealer taller, and height is cube. VS-29G packs 15 units into a 0.0903 CBM carton, so each unit occupies about 0.0060 CBM. The flat VS-34G puts 20 units into a carton of 0.0686 CBM from its published dimensions, or about 0.0034 CBM per unit — roughly 43% less, which puts VS-29G about 75% higher in cube per unit.
15 units per carton, 0.0903 CBM
The export carton measures 565 x 385 x 415 mm and weighs 17.5 kg gross, which is 15 units at 1.1 kg apiece plus the carton itself. That weight is deliberate: it stays inside comfortable single-person handling, so a distributor’s warehouse does not need a second pair of hands per carton.
The cube penalty per unit
Put the two cube figures against a real freight rate and the picture sharpens. At an ocean rate of $150 per CBM, the roll-storage vacuum sealer carries roughly $0.90 of freight per unit and the flat one about $0.51. On a 5,000-unit order that is close to $2,000 of pure cube difference — on top of the $3.90 per unit the feature already costs at the factory gate.
Freight, not FOB, is where it shows
None of this appears in an FOB comparison, which is why roll storage looks cheaper than it is on a quotation sheet. It appears in the landed cost, and it appears again in your warehouse racking, since the same pallet holds fewer machines. Price the feature at landed cost or you will price it wrong.
Roll storage is not a specification, it is a packaging decision. The pump does not change, the bar does not change, and the cube does. Buyers who read our carton table before our datasheet always quote a tighter programme.

// 07 — Manufacturing
How we manufacture VS-29G
Every VS-29G vacuum sealer is built on our own lines in Guilin, Guangxi, not bought in and rebadged. Tooling, pump and board assembly, seal testing and compliance are handled in-house across four stages, which is what lets us hold a specification through a private-label run instead of renegotiating it at every order.
In-house tooling and moulding
The ABS housing, the roll compartment and the sliding cutter track come off our own moulds. Because the tool is ours, a colourway change or a logo boss for a private-label program is a tooling adjustment we schedule directly rather than a request passed down a trading chain.
Pump and PCBA burn-in
The 4 L/min pump and the control board are paired and powered before the housing closes. Boards run a burn-in cycle so early-life electronic failures surface on our line, where they cost us a board, rather than in a distributor’s warehouse where they cost a return.
Seal-integrity and vacuum test
Every batch is line-tested before packing. The test exercises the 3 mm heating strip across the 30 cm bar and pulls a bag down against the 65kPa rating, so a weak weld or a leaking gasket is caught as a batch signal and not as a field complaint.
Compliance and warranty
We build to CE and RoHS for European export and issue the marks and reports that apply to your destination market. Every unit carries a minimum 12-month warranty. Certification names and factory figures are set out plainly on our Trust Center.
// 08 — Commercial terms
Ordering: MOQ, lead time and Incoterms
MOQ is 100 units on this vacuum sealer. Production lead time runs 15–30 days depending on the queue and on whether the order carries custom packaging. We quote FOB China as standard and handle EXW and CIF on request, with 30/70 T/T terms and Alibaba Trade Assurance available.
Price tiers as published
VS-29G lists at $13.00 for a single unit, $12.80 from 20, $12.60 from 500 and $12.20 from 5,000. The $13.00 single-unit figure is the catalogue tier, not an order minimum; production orders start at 100 units. The spread across the whole curve is $0.80, which is narrow by design: the machine is priced close to cost at volume, so a buyer does not need a container-scale commitment to reach a workable number.
Sampling before a production run
Request a sample before the run. A sample tells you three things a datasheet cannot: how the cutter feels after a hundred pulls, how the seal looks on the specific film you plan to bundle, and how the housing photographs in your brand colour. Everything printed on the carton should trace back to that approved sample.
Labels, manuals and plug sets
Because the board accepts 100–240V, market variants reduce to the plug set, the manual and the label. We handle logo, colourway, retail packaging and manual in-house as part of an OEM or ODM order. Artwork deadlines, not electronics, are usually what moves a lead time.
// 09 — Fit
Which buyers should shortlist this vacuum sealer?
This vacuum sealer suits buyers selling a bag program alongside the machine, where the housed roll is the reason the shopper picks the box. It fits less well where price alone drives the shelf, or where the end user packs dense wet product all day. Those two cases point to VS-34G and UAHFW4 respectively.
Retail chains selling a bag program
If refill rolls carry your margin, the roll compartment is the merchandising hook that keeps the shopper on your film instead of a generic one. That is the case where paying $3.90 a unit and 75% more cube makes commercial sense, because the feature is doing sales work rather than sitting on a feature list.
Private-label brands
The wide-voltage board, the in-house mould and the low MOQ suit a brand launching across several markets at once. One electrical SKU, one carton spec, one warranty statement, and a first order small enough to test a market without committing a container. A private-label vacuum sealer launched this way carries one bill of materials across every destination.
Distributors serving light-commercial users
Delis, small butchers and meal-prep operations sit right at the edge of this platform. They are well served at 65kPa on portioned product. If their duty cycle is continuous, quote UAHFW4 with its 12 L/min pump and stainless housing instead, and be honest with them about why.

// 11 — Conclusion
The decision in one line
Buy VS-29G when the housed roll sells the box, and buy VS-34G when it does not. The two machines share a pump, a bar and a heating strip; what separates them is $3.90 per unit at 5,000 pieces and 75% more cube per machine. That is a merchandising decision wearing a specification costume, and it is worth taking on landed cost rather than on the datasheet. If the end user’s duty cycle is genuinely commercial, skip both and quote the 75kPa UAHFW4. The full 65kPa range and its trade terms are on Vacuum Sealer China.
