Commercial Vacuum Sealer, 80kPa & 40 cm Seal: A B2B Buyer’s Guide
Pick the wrong seal-bar width and every family-pack roast your customer runs needs two cycles instead of one — doubling labour on your busiest line. A commercial vacuum sealer is an out-of-chamber packing machine that removes air through the bag neck and heat-seals it; this guide shows importers and distributors how to spec one correctly, using our 80kPa, 40 cm dual-pump model (UAHFW10) as the worked example.
// 01 — Key takeaways
Rated suction at the nozzle — enough to collapse the bag tightly around dense, moist cuts for butchery, deli and sous-vide service.
Seal-bar width — wide roasts and bulk portions seal in a single pass.
Factory-direct per unit at the 500-unit MOQ — a real catalog price, not a marketplace markup.
Units per 40 ft container (4 per carton, 0.121 CBM each) — plan your freight from real cube data.
Minimum warranty on every unit, backed by the factory that builds it — see our Trust Center.
Dual-pump design pulls two chambers, holding throughput on back-to-back cycles.
What is a commercial vacuum sealer?
A commercial vacuum sealer is an out-of-chamber machine that draws air out through the open neck of a bag and heat-seals it shut, so food is packed under reduced oxygen. It differs from a domestic sealer in duty cycle: a commercial vacuum sealer like this one runs back-to-back cycles all shift, where a home model is built for occasional use.

For a B2B buyer, the decision is rarely “vacuum sealer or not” — it is which class of commercial vacuum sealer fits the customer’s throughput and product mix. Out-of-chamber (external) sealers, like the UAHFW10, seal the bag neck and suit solids and semi-moist product. Chamber sealers evacuate a whole box and can seal free liquids, but cost far more and weigh far more.
Reduced-oxygen packing is a recognised food-preservation method. The FDA Food Code governs reduced-oxygen packaging (ROP) at retail and food service, and requires impermeable, high-barrier bags with a complete, consistent seal — which is exactly why seal-bar quality matters when you spec a machine.
External vs chamber: which class of sealer?
Choose an external commercial vacuum sealer when your customer packs solid and semi-moist product at moderate volume, and a chamber sealer when they pack free liquids or need the deepest vacuum. External units are lighter, cheaper at wholesale and faster to deploy, which is why they dominate retail, deli and mid-volume food-service sourcing.
Industry buying guides put the practical crossover around 30 packs a day: below that an external sealer pays back quickly, and above it a chamber unit starts to justify its cost. Most importers and distributors sell into the external band, so a well-built 80kPa external machine is the volume line.
The trade-off is what the machine can seal. An external sealer pulls air through the bag opening, so it cannot draw a puddle of liquid without risking the pump. A chamber sealer evacuates the whole chamber, so soups and marinades seal cleanly. For dry, cured and portioned wet product, the external class is the correct — and cheaper — tool.
Buyers over-spec vacuum depth and under-spec seal-bar width. Depth wins the demo; bar width decides whether your customer runs one cycle or two on their busiest hour.

Reading the key specs that actually matter
The four specs that decide fit are suction (kPa), seal-bar width (cm), air-flow rate (L/min) and pump count. Suction sets how tightly the bag collapses, bar width sets the widest bag per cycle, flow rate sets cycle speed, and pump count sets sustained throughput. Everything else — housing, modes, accessories — is secondary to those four.
Suction vs wattage — do not confuse them
Suction (kPa) is the vacuum the pump pulls; wattage (W) is the electrical draw. They are not the same thing, and a higher wattage does not always mean deeper vacuum. This model draws 240W and pulls 80kPa; our 90kPa sibling (UAH13B) is rated 1300W at 220V because it uses a different pump and housing. Spec on the vacuum figure your customer needs, then check wattage against their supply.
Seal-bar width sets your bag ceiling
The 40 cm bar is the headline number for this unit. It seals a bag up to 40 cm wide in one pass, which covers wide roasts, whole primals and family retail packs. If a customer only packs small deli portions, a 30 cm bar (as on the UAHFW9) is enough and cheaper; if they pack the very widest bags, the 42 cm UAH14B adds margin.
Flow rate and pump count set the pace
Air-flow rate (measured in litres per minute) sets how fast the machine evacuates a bag. This model moves 20 L/min ±15% through a dual-pump layout, which sustains cycles on a busy line. Higher-flow siblings exist — the UAH13B moves 30 L/min ±15% — but faster evacuation is only worth paying for if the customer’s throughput demands it.
Housing and heating-strip width
Two build details finish the spec of any commercial vacuum sealer. The UAHFW10 uses an ABS housing, which keeps the unit light — 3.96 kg net — and lowers freight weight per carton. Its 8 mm heating strip lays down a wider weld line than the 6 mm strip on the entry UAHFW9, giving a stronger, more leak-resistant seal on thicker bags.

Read the table by your customer’s job. Standard 80kPa external packing of solids and semi-moist product: the UAHFW10 at $108. Deepest vacuum and highest flow in a stainless body with a low 50-unit MOQ: the UAH13B. The widest bags and a triple-pump chamber: the UAH14B. Smaller retail portions on a tighter budget: the UAHFW9.
How we manufacture these units
We build the UAHFW10 in our own Guilin, China facility across four controlled stages: in-house tooling, pump and PCBA burn-in, seal-integrity and vacuum testing, then compliance and warranty. Because we control tooling and components, OEM and ODM requests — your logo, colourway, retail packaging and manual — are handled in-house, not passed down a trading chain.
In-house tooling & molding
The ABS housing is molded on our own tooling, so fit, finish and any private-mould customisation stay under one roof and reproduce identically batch to batch.
Pump & PCBA burn-in
The dual pumps and touch-control PCBA are assembled and run in before final build, so a weak pump or board is caught on the line rather than in your customer’s kitchen.
Seal-integrity & vacuum test
Every batch is line-tested for seal integrity and vacuum draw against the 80kPa and 800-seals/day rating before it is cleared to ship.
Compliance & warranty
We build to export marks including CE, RoHS, FCC and LVD — named only where genuinely held — and ship every unit with a minimum 12-month warranty. See our Trust Center for the full list.
B2B sourcing: MOQ, freight and terms
The UAHFW10 has a standard MOQ of 500 units at $108 each, ships 4 per carton at 0.121 CBM, and loads up to 1,912 units in a 40 ft container. Buying factory-direct from Guilin keeps unit cost stable from a trial order to a full container, and OEM, private-label and B2B programmes are welcome.
Best for distributors, deli chains and private-label
This model suits distributors supplying butchery and food-service accounts, deli and retail chains packing portions in-store, and private-label brands that want a proven 80kPa 40 cm machine under their own name. The 100–220V input means a single SKU covers most destination markets without re-tooling.
MOQ and container planning
Plan freight from the real cube. Each unit ships 4 to a carton at 0.121278 CBM per carton; a 20 ft container holds up to 920 units, a 40 ft up to 1,912, and a 40 HQ up to 2,240. Net weight is 3.96 kg per unit with a 20.5 kg carton gross, so you can cost freight before you commit to a production run.
Private-label and OEM options
Because we own the tooling, this commercial vacuum sealer can ship under your brand. OEM and ODM cover your logo, housing colourway, retail carton and printed manual, all produced in-house on the same line rather than outsourced. That keeps quality consistent and lets a distributor or retailer present a proven 80kPa machine as its own product line.
The food-safety point your customers must know
Sell the machine with the right guidance. According to USDA FSIS, vacuum packaging prolongs shelf life and retards bacterial growth, but vacuum-packed meat is still perishable and must be kept cold — even when smoked or cured. Vacuum sealing is not a substitute for refrigeration, and passing that on protects your customers and your brand.
Conclusion: spec on the job, not the demo
For standard commercial packing of solid and semi-moist product, the UAHFW10 commercial vacuum sealer — 80kPa, 40 cm seal, dual pump, $108 at a 500-unit MOQ — is the volume line. Step up to the 90kPa UAH13B or triple-pump UAH14B only when your customer genuinely needs deeper vacuum, higher flow or a wider bar. Match the machine to the job, and the margin follows.
